New SRAM Eagle 90 and Eagle 70: all the advantages of direct mounting come to mechanical groups
SRAM has just introduced its new mechanical transmissions Eagle 90 and Eagle 70. A revolution in which they bring all the advantages of their direct mount to the frame (without a derailleur) to an innovative mechanical shifter. The smoothest MTB transmission under pressure currently available now eliminates the need for batteries.
New SRAM Eagle 90 and 70 Full Mount mechanical transmissions: goodbye to batteries
The Eagle 90 transmission joins SRAM's catalog as the top of the line in mechanical systems. The Full Mount system has been one of the most disruptive innovations in recent years, and with it, SRAM got rid of the weak derailleur hangers to directly anchor the rear derailleur to the frame.
The system only requires the bike frame to be compatible with the UDH standard, something that almost all manufacturers are implementing, and offers huge advantages such as a more robust derailleur, much easier to adjust, and above all with an unparalleled shifting experience. It seems incredible, but the more pressure is being exerted on the pedal, the smoother the transmission shifts.

Until now, this experience was only available in SRAM's electronic models, the AXS series, but now the brand has transferred all its technology to cable-actuated mechanical transmissions.

SRAM ensures that the Eagle 90 derailleur is the most robust and repairable they have ever created. Its Full Mount design guarantees an extremely firm attachment and eliminates failures related to the derailleur hanger. In addition, it comes to the market directly with a large number of replaceable parts, such as the B-Knuckle, protection plates, the cage, and other essential parts.
These mechanical groups are T-Type, ensuring as precise and crisp shifts as the current electronic versions as well as their compatibility with ecosystem components, such as the GX Eagle Transmission Flattop chain, the most resistant ever produced by SRAM and specially designed to withstand the high forces generated in E-MTB.

This transmission introduces the new Eagle Mechanical shifters with an advanced ergonomic design and feel. The shifters come in two specific versions: Single-click for E-MTB and Double-click for conventional bikes. In addition, the shifters are designed to integrate seamlessly with SRAM Stealth brakes, ensuring a cleaner and tidier handlebar.

The Eagle 90 group is completed with the XS-1275 cassette with a 520% range, with X-SYNC technology that optimizes shifts under extreme pressure. The crankset is compatible with 8-bolt chainrings, and the Eagle 90 group includes a chainring, made of stamped steel, available in various sizes. The forged aluminum cranks are available from 155mm to 175mm.
The SRAM Eagle 70 arrives as the entry-level group
The Eagle 70 group is presented as the entry-level option to Full Mount technology for SRAM's mechanical transmissions.
The Eagle 70 T-Type derailleur has the same strength and reliability as an AXS Transmission. It features replaceable protectors like in the GX, X0, or 90 versions, and shares many of the repair possibilities available in high-end derailleurs.
Its XS-1270 cassette offers excellent performance with a black chrome nickel finish, and for the first time adapts to a traditional splined hub, providing additional versatility.

The Eagle 70 cranks are made of aluminum with a 6061 DUB spindle. This model is available in sizes of 165mm, 170mm, and 175mm, compatible with protectors and 3-bolt chainrings, and include a stamped steel chainring.
