New Specialized Torch 2.0 and 3.0
Specialized evolves its high-performance road shoes with the launch of the Torch 2.0 and 3.0, shoes that apply all the brand's wisdom embodied in its Body Geometry technology and in which the highest quality materials come together to roll as fast as possible without sacrificing comfort and perfect fit.
Maximum performance at your fingertips with Specialized Torch 2.0 and 3.0 shoes
There is life beyond S-Works in the Specialized range and often we are blinded by top-of-the-range products when, on the second tier we find top-notch products. Such is the case with the new Specialized Torch 2.0 and 3.0 shoes, two models that fill that gap after their excellent competition shoes with performance that differs very little from the top-of-the-range model but at a much more affordable price.
In both models, both Toch 2.0 and 3.0, Specialized continues to show years of experience in the study of pedaling and foot biomechanics that is reflected in its Body Geometry technology, synonymous with comfort and absence of pressure points or the typical discomfort that in many cases ends up translating into a burning sensation in the feet.

The essential characteristics of the Body Geometry system are maintained, such as the varus correction wedge integrated into the shoe that allows the knee to be properly aligned, the precise design of the sole to give solidity to the longitudinal arch so that it does not yield to the force exerted by the foot; or the metatarsal button that allows the metatarsals to be separated, prevents compression of the nerves, and distributes the pressure we exert when pedaling properly.
Getting into specifics, the Specialized Torch 3.0 are designed to differ very little from their S-Works counterparts in terms of performance, for which they have a rigid carbon sole and an upper made of a combination of seamless mesh and TPU that fits perfectly to the foot through the use of two BOA Li2 closures. Shoes that, in almost any other brand, would undoubtedly be at the top of the range, in fact, at first glance, it is difficult to distinguish these Torch 3.0 from S-Works models from previous seasons.
On the other hand, the Torch 2.0 are aimed at a cyclist who rides less intensely or those who are entering the world of road cycling. While still offering great performance, they prioritize comfort to a greater extent. They do not give up a carbon sole to have the best power transfer although the stiffness of this is more balanced to not be so demanding for cyclists less accustomed to spending hours on the bike.
Regarding the Upper, the Torch 2.0 uses the more common perforated microfiber for proper ventilation. It shares with its older sister the seamless design to avoid possible points that may cause discomfort.
The fit of these Torch 2.0 is left in the hands of a single BOA Li2 that is supported by a velcro that fixes the lower part of the instep. Also thinking of less experienced cyclists, Specialized has equipped the soles of this model with generous rubber supports both in the heel and in the toe so that we don't get scared when we have to walk or stop at a traffic light.
The Torch 3.0 have a price of 250 euros while their sisters Torch 2.0 are priced at 200 euros.
