New Rondo IOON, a revolutionary eGravel
The bikes from the Polish brand Rondo never go unnoticed. Their new eGravel, the IOON, inherits the lines of the Rondo Ruut, the muscular gravel bike from the brand, lives up to this maxim with a high-performance machine capable of meeting any need we may have, from challenging trails to even urban use.
Rondo IOON, cutting-edge design for an electric gravel bike that doesn't leave anyone indifferent
A couple of years ago, when the Polish brand Rondo launched their gravel bike Ruut, we were all surprised by the spectacular double diamond design of its frame, a design aimed at providing the bike with greater absorption capacity without compromising lateral stiffness.
A design that Rondo maintains in their new eGravel, the IOON, although with larger tube volumes to accommodate the Fazua Ride 60 motor that assists pedaling. A motor with a lightweight focus, popular in many road and gravel models, providing 60 Nm of torque. The Rondo IOON will be accompanied by a 430 Wh battery located along the diagonal tube.

Beyond the motor and the characteristic frame design of the IOON, we find other noteworthy aspects such as the adoption of a UDH derailleur hanger, which will allow mounting the SRAM Red AXS XPLR 13-speed group, delving a little deeper into SRAM's goal of turning UDH hangers into a true standard with more and more bikes mounting them. Additionally, it should be noted that the unique double diamond frame structure only allows the bike to be mounted in a single chainring configuration.
We also find another curious detail in its fork, which incorporates the system that allows varying the position of the dropout that we already saw in their RATT CF allroad bike, which not only allows modifying the bike's behavior by affecting both the wheelbase and the fork offset but also serves to adjust the bike's behavior if we want to use it with 27.5-inch wheels.
A bike that, although announced by the brand, has not yet been definitively launched, with a brief "coming soon" on their website, although it is estimated that its price will be around €10,000.
