New range of Specialized tires for road and gravel
Specialized redefines its range of road and gravel tires seeking faster tires for the former and greater resistance for the latter. To achieve this, they have worked on improving both the casings and treads to bring their tires closer to perfection.
From competition to your wheels, this is the 2025 range of Specialized road and gravel tires
Throughout its history, Specialized has had a complete range of components that accompanied their bikes, all of them seeking the same level of excellence as their machines. Products capable of rivaling without any shame with those created by specific brands. In the case of tires, this is one of the components to which the brand has always paid special attention. In fact, Specialized has had tires in its catalog since its beginnings.
In the 2025 collection, Specialized has sought to reduce and simplify the references so that it is much easier for the customer to choose the right tire for the use they will give to their bicycle. Tires in which, as always, the input of professionals who use their tires in competition has been essential in their development.

Specialized defines its 2025 range of road tires as the fastest, lightest, and most durable they have ever made. A range that includes four models, from the conventional Mondo for use with tubes, to the new Rapidair TLR with which Specialized finally has a tubeless competition tire that fully satisfies the riders who, in many cases, continued to use the famous Turbo Cotton tires, tires that will continue to be in the brand's catalog, with tubes because they are considered more efficient.
In between, the Mondo TLR are perfect for satisfying cyclists while their S-Works Turbo TLR offer the ideal balance between high-performance tires, which improve the rolling resistance of the existing model by 10% while reducing the weight by 20 g, but at the same time have a long lifespan for day-to-day use, whether for training or competitions.
But let's focus on the big news, the Rapidair TLR, a competition tubeless tire created with performance as the only premise. The design of its tread stands out, completely different from that of its catalog companions. At the same time, it has completely smooth sides, designed to minimize aerodynamic resistance and thus improve efficiency. This new tread is accompanied by a reformulation of the Gripton T2 compound in the center of the tread, while the sides use softer Gripton T5 rubber for better grip.
With a weight of just 220 g, these tires become one of the lightest tubeless tires on the market, mainly achieved thanks to the redesign of the casing so that it only has two layers, instead of the usual three, which overlap on one side to reduce thickness and mass under the tread while making it more flexible and therefore offer better grip and lower rolling resistance.
On the other hand, the S-Works Turbo TLR also improve their capabilities thanks to the same rubber compounds while reducing the amount of rubber in areas where it was not so necessary, thus reducing weight by 20 g. The casing in this tire has a typical three-layer configuration with the addition of the usual puncture-resistant belt under the tread to ensure good durability.
In the case of the Mondo TLR, resistance is prioritized over performance, but that does not mean they are slow tires. In fact, they are Specialized's proposal for cobblestone classics and still have features such as the dual-compound tread, in this case with Gripton T2 in the center and Gripton T5 on the sides.

2025 Specialized Gravel Tires
The Specialized gravel range in 2025 goes beyond their famous Pathfinder TLR, one of the most efficient gravel competition tires on the market with its semi-slick configuration so imitated by other brands. The Pathfinder TLR, ideal for compact terrain and competition use, improves its rolling resistance by 19% compared to the existing model thanks to the new rubber compounds that, as in their road counterparts, are differentiated, using Gripton T2 in the central tread and Gripton T5 in the side knobs. A redesigned tread that also saves 25 grams on the scale. Finally, work has been done on the resistance of the casing to make it 14% more resistant to cuts, a casing that will only be available in the Pro level, with the S-Works option disappearing from the catalog.
The tread of the Tracer TLR, Specialized's versatile tire, is also redesigned. A new tread pattern that improves rolling resistance and lightens the tire by a whopping 65 g. Here, only one type of rubber is used, Gripton T5, and the casing is reinforced, with 4 layers under the tread to make it more puncture-resistant and allow for lower inflation pressures.
Finally, we have the Terra TLR tires, which replace the Rhombus Pro tires, designed for more aggressive gravel and more challenging terrain. Obviously, they have a reinforced casing to ensure maximum puncture resistance while having a tread with Gripton T5 rubber where stability has been prioritized in the design.
