The new Pinarello Dogma XC Hardtail is now on sale: hardtails continue to win World Championships
Pinarello has just officially presented its two mountain bike models, and the Pinarello Dogma XC Hardtail arrives as the most reactive and lightweight version in its catalog. A bike that encapsulates all the essence of this sport and that already knows what it is to win a World Championship. It is available in two models starting from €7,000.
Pinarello Dogma XC Hardtail: the essence of mountain biking
With the signing of Pauline Ferrand Prevot for the Ineos team, the need for a rigid bike was born, which is the preference of the French rider on many circuits. During the presentation, we also had the opportunity to speak with her via telematics and she explained that for a lightweight rider like her, saving around a kilo in the overall weight is very relevant and therefore she feels she can be faster with the rigid bike on many circuits.
RECOMENDADO
Well, the Pinarello Dogma XC Hardtail is already a world champion and, since it was first seen, it created a great expectation due to its striking design.
The goals sought in the design of the Dogma XC Hardtail have been, as always, maximum lightness, but putting the same emphasis on stiffness to achieve maximum reactivity on the fastest circuits.
For this, they have adopted the same lower triangle design as in the double, trying to achieve the stiffest frame on the market in this bottom bracket area and thus optimize energy transmission in pedaling.
But the most striking detail in the Dogma XC Hardtail is the marked asymmetry of its rear triangle. According to Pinarello, they also seek to reinforce the left side and thus balance the forces in the rear. The result sought is a balanced energy transfer to achieve maximum speed and traction.
The cabling, like in the full suspension version, is completely internal through the steering.
The announced weight of the frame alone is 960 grams in size S.
Regarding the geometry of the rigid Dogma, we find it quite current, with the particularity that both the chainstays and the angles vary slightly depending on each size.
Focusing on size M, we find a head angle of 67.75° and a seat tube angle of 75°. The reach of 450mm is in line with the current trend. The chainstays are quite short at 425mm.

It also mounts the spectacular integrated Talon Ultra XC cockpit and, in this case, a carbon seatpost. The announced weight of this bike is 9.20kg
The Dogma XC Hardtail also comes in two color schemes.
