Look, one of the leading pedal brands, deepens its offering of power meters integrated into this component, both for road and MTB and gravel. On one hand, the new Look Keo Blade Power pedals arrive, which adopt the new design of their recently evolved Keo Blade and improve their unique power meter so far in the catalog, the Look Exack pedals that used a spring fixation system compared to the carbon plate of the new ones.

On the other hand, the new X-Track Power pedals are introduced in the range, pedals for MTB and Gravel that add power measurement to their X-Track model although, externally, both models are practically indistinguishable. Both models have the same characteristics in terms of fixation system and biomechanical dimensions such as height relative to the cleat or Q factor of their counterparts without power measurement.

The installation of these is identical to that of a conventional pedal although we will need a 15 mm flat wrench to do it since the space where the 6 mm allen key is usually inserted is occupied by the magnetic charging connector for batteries that allow up to 60 hours of autonomy. In any case, it is a simple installation that allows us to easily change the power meter from one bike to another.

Regarding power measurement itself, both models have similar internal electronics, ensuring a precision of +-1%, that is, at the level of the best models on the market. Look offers both the Keo Blade Power and the X-Track Power in a version with measurement on both legs or only on the left side, in order to have a more economical alternative.

The communication used is also common, Bluetooth or ANT+ that allow it to be linked to almost any cycling computer on the market as well as to the Look mobile app which, in addition to including cycling computer functions, can display advanced power metrics, and is also essential for carrying out firmware updates that the brand may release to improve the operation of these Keo Blade Power and X-Track Power.

Needless to say, both pedal models have a robust design to guarantee the protection of the power meter system in case of a fall, in fact, all the electronics are integrated into the pedal shaft itself. Of course, they are perfectly protected against the weather, having an IPX7 certification.
