New hybrid range from Canyon

Bikes designed to serve both as an efficient means of transport and for physical activity are booming thanks to the variety of designs that have been appearing and the versatility that electric assistance brings. Canyon meets this demand with its revamped hybrid range, which it has grouped into three categories according to their intended use.

Canyon is committed to bike mobility

As a good German brand, Canyon goes beyond the sporty models we usually look at. There are more bike styles and audiences than the spectacular Canyon bikes used by Mathieu Van der Poel on the road, cyclocross or mountain bike. In fact, cycling mobility is becoming one of the most relevant fields for brands since, in the wake of the pandemic, many discovered how efficient cycling is.

Grouped under the name of hybrid e-bikes, Canyon establishes three categories: City, Commuter and Touring, among which are distributed each of the four models of bike available depending on the use to which they are focused and type of majority user although all have the common nexus of being bikes whose main role is to be our best allies in our daily commute.

The Roadlite:ON CF 9 LTD model falls into the City and Touring categories. These bikes are inspired by Canyon's road models, but with a design that strikes a balance between speed and ease of riding. Specifically, this top-of-the-line CF 9 LTD setup is equipped with the SRAM Eagle AXS electronic groupset and comes standard with lights, which in the case of the rear, includes an accelerometer that is used to increase its intensity when we slow down as a brake light. This Roadlite:ON CF 9 LTD is priced at 4,999 € and is available in sizes from S to XL.

We continue our tour of Canyon's range of hybrid e-bikes with the Conmuter:ON 7, a bike with a much more urban focus thanks to its complete equipment that includes integrated mudguards, lights, hydraulic disc brakes, all in a bike with a modern look and a design specifically designed for those who pedal daily on the streets of their city. A bike that we can make ours for 3,299 €.

Both Roadlite and Conmuter entrust their electric assistance to a compact Fazua Ride 60 motor that achieves a great integration in the lines of the bike. In both cases a 430 Wh battery is chosen and the 3 assistance modes are fully customizable thanks to the Fazua Remote FX app that also allows us to control the integrated lights in addition to performing the functions of a cyclocomputer.

Continuing the tour of Canyon's range of hybrid e-bikes is the Pathlite:ON 9 LTD SUV, a model that focuses on another type of mobility, that of those who use their bike following their more adventurous impulse. In fact, it is a bike with mountain bike lines, generously sized tyres and suspension fork, plus accessories such as mudguards and luggage rack.

For this model, the ultimate representative of the Touring concept, Canyon has chosen a Bosch motor with a large 750 Wh battery that ensures a long range. In addition, the German brand has added the curious Bosch ABS braking system that prevents the front wheel from locking in the event of hard braking. Accompanying this engine is the Bosch Kiox 300 display that, after linking it to our cell phone, acts as a GPS. This bike is available for a price of 4,999 €.

The Bosch engine is also chosen to assist the Precede:ON, another bike with a totally urban approach but from the approach of a practical bike capable of carrying everything we need in our day to day. Without being a cargo bike, the Precede:ON adds a front and rear rack that allows us, for example, to go shopping.
