During the Santa Vall dispute by The Traka, the first of the Earth Series events found in the 2026 Gravel Calendar, Romain Bardet and the Danish Magnus Bak Klaris pedaled on a Factor bike with significant differences compared to the current Ostro Gravel, which could be the renewal of this iconic bike.

Factor finalizes the renewal of its Ostro Gravel
In what seems to be a maneuver by the brand to create anticipation for an upcoming launch, brand-sponsored cyclists Romain Bardet and Magnus Bak Klaris pedaled on a Factor bike with no distinguishing features beyond the brand logo, clearly different from the current Ostro, one of the most spectacular bikes for competitive gravel.
The Ostro Gravel has been on the market for some time now, and despite being one of the pioneers in introducing aerodynamics in competitive gravel bikes, it is already calling for renewal. In the videos and photos that have been seen from the Santa Vall, both cyclists can be seen pedaling on a bike that, following the trend of aerolight road bikes, reinforces aerodynamics at the front while the rear half is extremely streamlined.
A bike that, obviously, also following the trend, would allow the use of wider tires, even though the current Ostro accepts tires up to 45 mm. In fact, both Bardet and Bak Klaris reportedly used 50 mm tires throughout the Santa Vall weekend.
It is also noteworthy in the images that have been seen how both cyclists used high-profile wheels, demonstrating the increasing importance of aerodynamics in current competitive gravel, where the speeds reached are really high. In any case, we will have to stay tuned to see what Factor surprises us with when the official launch of this machine finally takes place.
