A new Fox fork caught in the XCO World Cup
During the XCO Sub23 World Cup in Lake Placid, some cyclists are competing with completely black FOX forks that have caught our attention. Their distinctive RAD (Racing Applications Development) are proof that this is something new that FOX is already testing in races.
A new FOX fork spotted in the XCO World Cup
Not all new bikes or components are tested in as high-profile competitions as the World Cup, but in some cases we are lucky enough to see their evolution and development live.
This time it is a new FOX fork that at least the Sub 23 cyclists, Dario Lillo (Giant Factory) and Luca Martin (Orbea Factory Racing), are competing with. In both bikes, Giant Athem and Orbea Oiz respectively, it seems that they are using this same FOX prototype.
And although the only information we have so far is what we can deduce from these images, it seems that we could be facing a new 120mm FOX 34. In the images, it looks like a fork with 34mm stanchions and the most striking feature is found in the bridge that connects the fork legs.

A bridge with holes that would be the most relevant aesthetic, and surely functional, change compared to the current version of the FOX 34.
It is worth remembering that the FOX 34, despite its greater weight, has been positioning itself for some years as the preferred XCO fork by the brand's professionals thanks to its greater travel and stiffness.
So it would not be absurd to think that we are facing an evolution of this model. We will see if time proves us right or in future races we are able to extract more information from this prototype.
