New FOX 32 SC 2025: with reverse arch, stiffer and under 1.3 kg

FOX has just presented the latest version of its acclaimed FOX 32 SC fork. The lightest model for XCM/XCO in its catalog is reinvented in 2025 to reduce weight and increase stiffness. What remains unchanged are the 100mm of travel, the only option available for this new version which stays at 1287g.

We had already seen it in competition a few months ago, its reverse arch caught attention from the first moment, but finally its official presentation arrives. The new FOX 32 Step Cast 2025 remains committed to maximum performance in XCM/XCO and for this it reduces weight and improves stiffness thanks to the external redesign with the union between stanchions by a rear arch, a new crown, and the new Grip SL cartridge.

The brand presents the new FOX 32 Step-Cast 2025 as a specific fork for XCM, explaining that XCO and its more aggressive travel will find their ideal model in the 34 Step-Cast, with 120mm of travel. This is why this new version maintains the 100mm of travel, more suitable for long races and more favorable terrain.

The new 32 SC 2025 has been developed based on the model presented in 2016 and updated in 2020 to improve its stiffness. But the truth is that this 2025 version has undergone a deep redesign to the point of changing its aesthetics thanks to the rear arch that we already saw for the first time in its 32 TC fork for gravel.

This new 32 SC is 40% stiffer than its previous version, and it has achieved this thanks to the increase in torsional stiffness offered by the new rear Matrix arch. A double solution that has also allowed to reduce the weight of the assembly to 1287g (the previous version was at 1367g).

In its weight reduction, the new aluminum crown of the 7000 series has also contributed, with zero offset and angled tubes to achieve a 44mm offset, reducing the amount of aluminum needed.

Inside the fork, we find the new GRIP SL cartridge with 3 positions. It is the lightest of the brand and has a very firm and effective mode in the lockout position that also allows a smooth oscillation to reduce the cyclist's fatigue during accelerations or small bumps in this position.

FOX 32 SC 2025: models and prices

As we have already mentioned, the new FOX 32 SC 2025 is only available in 100mm but in its range we can find two colors, orange or black for the stanchions, both with the kashima finish on their bars and the same price of 1460€ for both models.

What is truly special is the GOLD EDITION model, a limited version of this completely golden fork that the brand has presented to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its first product. Its price is 1420€ and its production will be very limited.
