New Focus Paralane 2024: Fast and comfortable for long distances
Focus renews its grand fondo bike, now known as all road. Similar in appearance to its sporty versions, great performance and superior comfort are the ingredients of the German brand for its most versatile road bike.
The new Focus Paralane takes you as far as your imagination wants
It seems that the all road bike segment is regaining strength after years in which gravel bikes, suitable for both road and off-road cycling, left this concept a bit aside. However, a good number of cyclists do not want to hear about leaving the black, so they do not need bikes as reinforced and capable of housing tires as wide as gravel models. For this type of cyclist who wants to face long distances, with great comfort, but at the same time have a bike with qualities and appearance of a road bike, comes the renewed Focus Paralane.

This new version of the Focus Paralane comes with design lines that make it practically indistinguishable from its sporty sister, the Izalco. In fact, it includes the same sections of aerodynamic profiled tubes following the guidelines of the NACA and features such as the internal wiring system C.I.S. with which it is possible to replace the stem to vary its length without having to disassemble brake hoses as occurs in most. In fact, to differentiate both models at first glance we would have to look at the round seat post, traditional in the case of this Paralane
To achieve the necessary comfort more than in the vertical flexion of the frame, which also has it thanks to a slightly different lamination than the Izalco, everything is left in the hands of 32 mm series tires although its wheel passages are capable of housing up to 35 which will allow us to give it a use for light gravel.
Of course, a more relaxed geometry suitable for all audiences also contributes to the comfort of the routes on the back of this Paralane. However, Focus has sought in its frame figures of lateral stiffness close to the sports model in order to maintain good performance on this bike in case you want to squeeze it.
Focus finishes the concept of an adventurous bike designed to face long routes equipping all its models as standard with a practical top tube bag and the possibility of acquiring a mudguard kit specifically designed to integrate perfectly with this bike.
