Inspired by its aerodynamic competition bike, the Ostro VAM, Factor launches its new model Monza to the market, a bike also aerodynamic but designed for the needs of the common cyclists, not only for professionals and super competitive as the models available in its range were until now.

The new Factor Monza brings the brand closer to a larger number of cyclists

Without neglecting the brand's DNA, defined by bikes that embody sportiness, Factor has decided to create a bike that captures the essence of its Ostro VAM model in terms of its formidable aerodynamics, lightweight, and sporty behavior, but in a bike that expands its range of action not only to competitive cyclists but to anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of their bikes. Thus, the new Factor Monza is born.

At first glance, it is difficult, even for the expert eye, to differentiate this new Factor Monza from the Ostro VAM with which it shares aerodynamic qualities. In any case, Factor has taken advantage of this opportunity to soften the lines on the Monza and make some tweaks, beyond using a lower-level carbon, to reduce the manufacturing cost of the frame since the philosophy of the Factor Monza is to bring it closer to a wider audience.

Obviously, being a bike aimed at all audiences and for more versatile use, the main change compared to the Ostro VAM is found in its geometry. The parameters that determine a sporty and agile behavior of the bike are maintained, but those affecting the cyclist's position are adjusted with a slightly shorter reach and a slightly higher stack so that it is not necessary to be a super athlete to adapt to this Factor Monza.

Thinking of a more versatile use, we find details in this Factor Monza such as the incorporation of a storage system in its downtube. A feature that we usually only see in all-road or gravel style bikes, so it is surprising to find it in an aerodynamic bike. Factor maintains that this is intended to allow the rider to carry what is necessary for day-to-day without affecting the bike's aerodynamics, for example, by carrying a bag under the saddle or a pump attached to the frame.

Also, thinking of expanding its range of use, Factor has equipped the Monza with wide wheel clearances that allow for tires up to 34 mm. If we add to this the use of a UDH hanger that would allow us to install the SRAM Red XPLR 13v groupset, this opens the door to countless configurations, even for venturing into gravel territory.

The Factor Monza comes with an integrated handlebar developed for this bike characterized by reduced reach and drop, making it easier to adapt to a larger number of cyclists.

A model that will be available as a frame kit, priced at €4,699, as well as two complete builds, one with Shimano Ultegra Di2, priced at €7,999; and SRAM Force AXS, which can be purchased for €8,299. In both cases, they come with Black Inc. 45 carbon wheels.
