New Canyon Neuron:ON: lighter and more competitive
Canyon has unveiled the models of its renewed Neuron:ON. The brand claims to have completely redesigned it and defines it as the most prepared electric bike in its catalog. The carbon frame, the new geometry and the fourth generation of the Bosch Performance Line CX are the highlights. Prices range from 3,799 to 5,599 euros.
Canyon raises the stakes with a revamped Neuron:ON that can handle anything
It's been just over a month since Canyon announced several new additions to its range of electric mountain bikes. After introducing the Strive:ON and revamping the Torque:ON CF and Grand Canyon:ON, it's now the turn of the Neuron:ON. Canyon has put a lot of effort into redesigning this trail model to build an eBike that can cope with long days of pedaling and all kinds of slopes.
For this purpose, whereas previously it was only available with an aluminum frame, it will now be available with a carbon frame in most models. According to the brand, this offers more resistance and a weight reduction -more than remarkable- of 2 kilograms.

The German brand has also modified the suspension, lengthening it to 140 mm of travel in both the fork and the rear.
Another point that has undergone major changes has been the geometry, now more similar to the Spectral:ON. Among the most outstanding measures, which will always depend on the size of the frame, the head angle is softened between 1-2 degrees (65.5º), the chainstays grow between 10-15 mm (450 mm) and the seat tube angle is inclined between 1.5-2 degrees (76.5º) and the reach is increased between 10-45 mm (460 mm).
In terms of electric assistance, Canyon has opted to equip different motors and batteries depending on the set-up. The Neuron:ON CF 8 will feature the latest generation of the acclaimed Bosch Performance Line CX motor powered by the 750 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, while the Neuron:ON AL 6 will carry the Shimano EP6 and a 630 or 504 Wh battery.
In addition, almost all setups already come with 29" wheels. The brand also emphasizes the high degree of connectivity and security offered by the Neuron:ON such as bike tracking and anti-theft with integrated apps, possibility to configure motor settings or plan routes, among others.
Neuron:ON set-ups, prices and weights
The Neuron:ON is divided into four different setups: Neuron:ON AL 6, Neuron:ON CF7 (750 or 625 Wh battery) and Neuron:ON CF 8.
