New Cannondale Moterra 2025: total renovation
Cannondale has just presented its new Moterra 2025, a version that has completely redesigned the model to place it back at the forefront. With a new carbon frame, revised geometry, total integration of the Bosch system, and a specific approach for each size of Cannondale, the Moterra and its LT version are positioned as two clear references in the all-mountain and electric enduro segment.
The Cannondale Moterra 2025 reinvents itself
The total redesign of the frame has allowed Cannondale to reduce almost a kilo compared to the previous generation. Made entirely of carbon, the new frame includes internal cable routing, a chain guide with a 55 mm line, compatibility with UDH axle, and hidden mounting for a kickstand. This base allows for a more agile ride and a more balanced behavior, even in the most demanding technical situations.

The geometry has been revised with a higher stack height, shorter reach, more vertical seat angle (77.7°), and a slacker head angle (64.4°). All of this aims for a more centered and secure position for long rides and fast descents. The kinematics have also been optimized to improve traction and control under braking.
The entire Moterra 2025 range uses the Bosch Performance Line CX system, which delivers up to 85 Nm of torque quietly and progressively. This unit is combined with an integrated 800 Wh PowerTube battery, although it is possible to mount a 600 Wh battery for lighter weight on shorter rides. In addition, all Moterra models are compatible with the 250 Wh PowerMore range extender, allowing for a total capacity of up to 1050 Wh.
The system is controlled from the top tube using the System Controller and the mini remote control. The top-of-the-line models include the Kiox 500 display mounted integrally on the Trail HeadsUp stem, providing all the information without cluttering the cockpit.
The Moterra 2025 features 29" wheels and offers 160 mm of front travel along with 150 mm of rear travel. This setup is combined with FOX Float Factory suspension (on the Moterra 1) or RockShox ZEB Select suspension (on the Moterra 2), with adjustments designed for smooth absorption on all types of terrain.
One of Cannondale's most technical and differentiating aspects is the application of the Proportional Response system. Unlike many eMTBs that replicate the same geometry in all sizes, Cannondale has designed each size of Moterra and Moterra LT with its own kinematics, lengths, and specific angles. This ensures a uniform, balanced, and perfectly adapted riding experience for each rider.
In terms of transmission and brakes, options such as the wireless SRAM Eagle AXS T-Type group, Magura MT7 brakes with 220/203 mm discs, DT Swiss H 1900 rims, and Continental Kryptotal 2.4" Enduro Soft tires stand out. The peripherals are completed with a HollowGram SAVE carbon handlebar, Cannondale DownLow Dropper seatpost, and Fizik Terra Aidon X5 saddle.
Moterra LT: for those looking to go further
The Moterra LT is the most aggressive version of the range. Designed for riders who prioritize downhill and absorption capability, it features a mullet system (29" front wheel and 27.5" rear wheel), increased travel (170/165 mm), and even slacker geometry. The frame is also made of carbon, but its kinematics have been specifically designed for coil shocks.
The setup includes FOX 38 Performance fork, DHX Coil shock, SRAM Eagle 90/70 T-Type transmission, and TRP EVO Pro brakes with 220 mm discs. All of this makes the Moterra LT an eMTB with extreme enduro DNA, ideal for riders looking for a bike capable of absorbing everything and staying in control at high speeds.
