Now, they explain that the development of these wheels comes from performance data and direct user feedback, aiming to leverage the dynamic advantages of the larger diameter without penalizing weight or race response.

One of the major challenges of the 32” format is the increase in rotational mass. Light Bicycle claims to have solved this with optimized laminates and premium materials, achieving a declared weight of 380 grams per rim in the standard version, a figure very close to many competition 29” rims.

The increase in diameter translates directly into better obstacle clearance, with greater capacity to maintain speed over roots, rocks, and broken terrain. According to the brand, the 32 inches allow for transforming part of the terrain resistance into fluidity and continuity, something particularly interesting in modern XCO circuits.

This is complemented by a larger contact area, especially when combined with wide tires, up to 2.7”, which provides more grip and a more predictable ride on variable surfaces like loose dirt, sand, or even soft snow.

Due to the limited availability of specific spokes for 32 inches, the Anax32 XC is marketed exclusively as a complete wheelset, hand-assembled within the brand's custom assembly program.
