New 32" carbon wheels, directly from China and with a lifetime warranty: this is how the Anax32 XC from Light Bicycle are
The 32-inch standard continues to make strong strides, and Light Bicycle becomes one of the first brands to offer a real commercial solution for XC with the new Anax32 XC, a set of carbon wheels specifically designed for cyclists adopting this new size and seeking maximum performance in cross-country competition.
Light Bicycle fully enters the 32-inch market with the new Anax32 XC carbon wheels
The Light Bicycle brand stands out for offering its products directly from Chinese factories, without intermediaries, and prides itself on providing a very competitive price-quality range. Now, they explain that the development of these wheels comes from performance data and direct user feedback, aiming to leverage the dynamic advantages of the larger diameter without penalizing weight or race response.

One of the major challenges of the 32” format is the increase in rotational mass. Light Bicycle claims to have solved this with optimized laminates and premium materials, achieving a declared weight of 380 grams per rim in the standard version, a figure very close to many competition 29” rims.

Additionally, according to the manufacturer's data, the Anax32 XC rim exceeds an internal impact test of 105 joules, a remarkable figure for an XC rim weighing only 380 g. There is also a Heavy Duty version weighing 420 g, designed for heavier cyclists or more demanding use.

The increase in diameter translates directly into better obstacle clearance, with greater capacity to maintain speed over roots, rocks, and broken terrain. According to the brand, the 32 inches allow for transforming part of the terrain resistance into fluidity and continuity, something particularly interesting in modern XCO circuits.
This is complemented by a larger contact area, especially when combined with wide tires, up to 2.7”, which provides more grip and a more predictable ride on variable surfaces like loose dirt, sand, or even soft snow.

Due to the limited availability of specific spokes for 32 inches, the Anax32 XC is marketed exclusively as a complete wheelset, hand-assembled within the brand's custom assembly program.

The buyer can choose from a wide variety of hubs, including DT Swiss (350 and 240), Industry Nine (1/1 and Hydra), Hope Pro 5, Chris King, Erase, or Light Bicycle's own hubs, as well as different spoke options like Berd or Alpina. The brand also considers mullet configurations combining 32” and 29”.
