Neuron:ONfly, the first lightweight e-MTB from Canyon

Canyon lands in the segment of light electric bikes with the Neuron:ONfly. The model comes with the acclaimed Bosch Performance Line SX motor, 400 Wh battery, trail geometry, and 140 mm suspension both front and rear. The range consists of four models, starting at 4,849 euros and weighing 19.1 kg in the most exclusive version.

Canyon debuts in the light e-mtb segment with the Neuron:ONfly

Light electric bikes have seamlessly integrated into the market. The idea of offering an electric bike capable of providing sensations close to a non-electric one has convinced a good portion of the cycling community. And manufacturers, knowing the interest they generate, quickly respond to the demand. Although they are increasingly common in catalogs, Canyon's long-awaited debut now arrives with a proposal that aims to turn heads.

 

The Canyon Neuron:ONfly is halfway between the Neuron -a versatile trail bike- and the Neuron:ON -the electric version-. The similarities are undeniable, and the family now expands with the Neuron:ONfly, which takes the baton from its predecessors and gives a new twist to the concept.

The Neuron:ONfly stands out for its sleek presence, with lines that flow from the front to the rear. The German manufacturer has decided to equip it with a 140 mm travel fork and shock absorber - just like the other two members of the family. Additionally, they claim to have revised the Triple Phase Suspension and improved the anti-squat.

Regarding the electric part, it comes with the renowned Bosch Performance Line SX motor -55 Nm and 600 W-, which Canyon assures reacts directly to the cyclist's needs without abruptness, aiming to make the rider feel close to a natural ride. Additionally, with the ConnectModule application, preferences can be adjusted and configurations can be made.

The motor unit is powered by a 400 Wh battery -with the possibility of increasing it with a 250 Wh range extender-. Canyon claims that this allows them to save between 2 and 3 kg with the Neuron:ON.

The geometry has been designed to provide comfort to the cyclist and also to give them a suitable position for climbing. Thus, it features a 64.5° head angle, 460 mm reach, 635 mm stack, 76.5° seat tube angle, and 450 mm chainstays.

Additionally, it comes with a carbon frame with various protections, integrated chain guide, internal cabling, 29" wheels, and the ability to work with Canyon's eBike Flow application.
