MyWhoosh will be the UCI training platform at the Cycling World Championships until 2026
The UCI seals an agreement with MyWhoosh, the free alternative to Zwift, so that the platform exclusively offers the routes of the next three Road World Championships. The application takes another step towards the conquest of virtual cycling and strengthens the Emirati presence in the sport of pedals.
MyWhoosh strikes again: the only virtual cycling application that will have the World Championship routes
Indoor cycling experienced a significant boom during confinement and the passage of time has turned it into a wildcard for many cyclists, especially during the months when the cold is pressing and sunlight is scarce. These applications have been in a market that Zwift has managed to dominate with authority. The irruption of MyWhoosh threatened to end this status quo and, after five years of development, it seems that they are getting closer to achieving it.
A few months ago, the UCI announced that MyWhoosh would be in charge of organizing the next three Virtual Cycling World Championships, it is now known that this same platform has become the Main Partner of the Road World Championships for the next three editions of the event (2024-2026).

The agreement translates into MyWhoosh being the only application that will exclusively offer the official routes of the next three Road and Time Trial World Championships; that is, those that will be held in Zurich (Switzerland, 2024), Kigali (Rwanda, 2025) and Montreal (Canada, 2026).
The platform will become the epicenter of indoor cycling, as it will be able to satisfy both fans and professionals. On the one hand, fans will be able to pedal on the same layout where the best specialists from each country will fight for the coveted rainbow jersey and will be able to emulate their idols.
On the other hand, professionals will have a very useful tool to enter the preparation and tuning for the world event.
The President of the UCI, David Lappartient, expressed that they are delighted that MyWhoosh "has decided to commit even more to cycling" and stated that "this increase in MyWhoosh's investment is further proof of the interest that exists for cycling".
In addition, the CEO/General Manager of MyWhoosh Akhtar Saeed Hashmi was the other key person in the agreement who offered statements. He stated that they are also delighted to strengthen the ties that bind them with the UCI and stated that "it is an exciting advance in the world of cycling and virtual racing".
Akhtar Saeed Hashmi explained that "MyWhoosh users will be able to run their own UCI Road World Championships on the platform, while many professional riders will undoubtedly test themselves on the virtual routes before the Zurich, Kigali and Montreal editions."
MyWhoosh -founded in Abu Dhabi in 2019- has starred in the umpteenth show of interest from the United Arab Emirates in sport. In addition to competitions such as Formula-1 or the aforementioned Virtual Cycling World Championships, the 2028 Road World Championship and the 2029 Track World Championships must also be added.
