Movie-style robbery in Catalonia: in just a few minutes, 120 e-bikes worth over 300,000 euros are stolen
The Catalan company LaBosch, specialized in the sale of electric bicycles, has been the victim of a large-scale robbery at its central warehouse in Cardedeu, Barcelona province, located in an industrial park next to La Roca Village. During the early hours of Monday, an organized group managed to steal around 120 e-bikes, as well as various textile materials. The economic impact of the assault would exceed 300,000 euros, according to published reports.
More than 300,000 euros in e-bikes stolen from LaBosch in a coordinated assault
Everything points to a carefully prepared operation. The perpetrators would have acted in two phases: first by cutting off the electrical supply to the warehouse over the weekend, which disabled the surveillance system, and returning hours later to execute the theft when the cameras no longer had backup batteries. The operation was extremely quick. In less than half an hour, a group of several people loaded the bicycles into a large van and left the scene with hardly any trace.

The thieves accessed both the warehouse and the exhibition area. Among the stolen materials were stock units intended for sale and bicycles belonging to customers that were under repair. A detail that reinforces the hypothesis that it was a specialized gang is that they did not take all the available bicycles, leaving behind those equipped with geolocation systems. They also selected items of higher economic value from the available store equipment.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have opened an investigation to clarify the facts and try to identify those responsible. So far, no arrests have been reported. The security cameras of other warehouses in the industrial park may have captured movements related to the assault, material that is now part of the police proceedings.
LaBosch confirmed the robbery through a public statement in which they alerted local businesses to take extra precautions against the possible activity of this organized gang. The company acknowledged that it is a tough blow, but conveyed a message of continuity to customers and suppliers, assuring that they will move forward with the project.
