Mosaic presents its 32” gravel bike and creates a new component brand to solve one of its major issues

Mosaic Cycles joins the growing list of manufacturers that are betting on 32-inch wheels. Its new GT i55 32 is a titanium gravel bike specifically designed for this diameter, but the most interesting aspect of the project lies in how the brand has had to address the lack of components in the market. Unable to find a fork that met its needs, it decided to develop its own and create the Zero Components brand.

At this point, 32” wheels are far from being an isolated rarity. In recent months, we have seen numerous projects in both MTB and gravel, some of which have already been successfully used in competition. However, their evolution continues to clash with the limited availability of components specifically developed for this diameter.

That is precisely what Mosaic encountered during the development of the GT i55 32. The Boulder manufacturer wanted to create a titanium gravel bike around 32” wheels, rather than adapting an existing frame. One of the critical points was maintaining reasonable dimensions despite the large diameter of the wheels.

At the rear, Mosaic has achieved chainstays of 440-445 mm through a displaced seat tube and a specific titanium part printed in 3D. The bike accommodates tires up to 32x2.2” (55 mm) and chainrings up to 46 teeth, maintaining a conventional gravel chainline.

It also adopts standards from MTB, with 110x15 mm in the front and 148x12 mm in the rear, aiming to provide the necessary stiffness for wheels of this size.

There was no suitable fork, so Mosaic created its own

The biggest challenge appeared at the front. The available rigid forks that can be used with such large wheels mainly come from MTB and usually have a high distance between the axle and the fork crown. Using them on a gravel bike can excessively raise the front end and affect the entire geometry.

Mosaic wanted to avoid precisely that and ended up developing a specific carbon fork.

The new G55 32 Gravel Fork has 445 mm between the axle and the crown and 60 mm of offset, dimensions aimed at keeping the front low and reducing the problem of hitting the foot on the wheel that can occur with such large ones.

The fork weighs 560 grams, accommodates tires up to 55 mm, features a tapered steerer tube, internal or external cabling, and a Flat Mount for 160 or 180 mm discs. Its price will be 640 dollars.

But Mosaic has decided to go beyond using it solely on its bikes.

The development has led to Zero Components, a new brand that emerged from the experimental Zero Ops program that Mosaic launched in 2025. Its initial catalog includes four carbon forks for road, all-road, and gravel, and they will also be available for other small manufacturers and frame builders.

Models and prices

The GT i55 32 will initially be available within Mosaic's custom manufacturing program, so each bike will have a geometry adapted to the cyclist. This is a particularly interesting solution with wheels of this size, where maintaining reasonable proportions in smaller sizes is more complicated.

There will be two versions that we do not know if they will be available for purchase outside the U.S.

The GT-1 i55 32 uses a T47 bottom bracket, IS52 headset, fully internal cabling, and the usual paint options from Mosaic. Its price starts at 8,250 dollars.

The GT-2 i55 32 incorporates a T68 bottom bracket, IS52 headset, semi-integrated cabling via Cane Creek HCR, and Titanium Ghost finish. In this case, the price starts at 5,000 dollars.
