More routes, more prizes, and hidden chests: the Big Spin returns to Watopia
The virtual training platform Zwift has confirmed the return of one of its most popular events: the Big Spin 2026. The tour will take place from March 16 to April 6 and will once again be exclusively set in Watopia, the platform's own world, featuring four themed stages and a rewards system that turns each ride into an opportunity to unlock exclusive gear.
Zwift Big Spin 2026: four stages in Watopia and unlimited prizes for all participants
The format maintains the social essence of the event. There will be group rides every hour for those who prefer to ride in a virtual peloton, although each route can also be completed on demand, adapting to each user's schedule. The mechanics are that upon finishing any of the stages, the participant accesses the prize wheel and can unlock special items for their avatar.

This edition introduces twelve new items to the Big Spin collection. Among them are four new kits, the Tri-Spoke Big Spin wheel, the Big Spin Limeade helmet, and the MX RIDER bike. Accessories such as Titan Grove caps, bandanas, beanies, the Fuego Flats cowboy hat, and Jungle headphones are also included. There is no limit to participation, so the more routes completed, the more chances there are to obtain all the unlockables.

As a novelty, the organization introduces the Mystery Spinners. Starting from February 27, eight hidden treasure chests will appear in Watopia that will allow participants to unlock items from previous editions of the Big Spin. This will be an added incentive for those who explore the map beyond the official tour routes.
The 2026 route is structured into four stages differentiated by profile and environment. The first, Desert Discovery, takes place on the Flat Out Fast route, with 21.4 kilometers that are practically flat and only 46 meters of accumulated elevation, ideal for fast group riding. The second, Hidden Temple, uses the Mayan San Remo layout, with 21 kilometers and 219 meters of elevation, introducing a more demanding profile in the jungle area. The third, Lost Coast Adventure, covers Southern Coast Cruise, with 26.3 kilometers and 147 meters of elevation, combining sustained pace and rolling terrain. The finale will be Sand & Sequoias, a stage of 20.1 kilometers and 175 meters of elevation that mixes dirt and virtual asphalt sections.
Registration is open through the official event website.
