Mads Pedersen wants to rescue Danish MTB and is offering to raise the necessary funds
A few weeks ago, the Danish Cycling Federation announced the dissolution of its national mountain bike team due to insufficient income to sustain it. Now, cyclists with a background in MTB, such as Mads Pedersen, are offering to find a solution that allows the Danish team to continue attending the main events on the calendar.

Pedersen willing to collaborate to secure the funds needed for the survival of the Danish MTB team
The budget needed to keep the mountain bike team of that country active is estimated at one million Danish crowns, about €134,000, which the federation sees as impossible to achieve. An amount that seems trivial compared to the sums handled in current cycling.
With the controversy brewing among the cyclists of that country, Mads Pedersen has offered to collaborate so that the federation can restart the national mountain bike teams. Pedersen, who has a background in this discipline, mentioned in a podcast that if any company were willing to offer around €250,000 to €300,000, he could, in return, give lectures or do whatever was needed.

The Danish cyclist from Lidl-Trek added in a light-hearted tone, “I can also prepare spaghetti Bolognese if they want. I can’t promise it will be good. But at least I promise I will go do a Q&A session or something similar if they want to donate that money to a good cause.”
More seriously, Pedersen was trying to make an appeal to the companies in that country to understand the good purpose of supporting the national mountain biking teams.
