Luxury participation in the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía: How to watch live
The Vuelta a Andalucía returns with renewed spirits. The disastrous 2024 edition, which saw its development cut short due to the lack of Civil Guard personnel and road closures caused by protests carried out by farmers at that time, is now behind us. An edition that was limited to a small 5-kilometer time trial won by Belgian Maxim Van Gils.
Route of the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía
After this forgettable edition, the Vuelta a Andalucía returns true to its essence and proposes 5 stages with medium mountain and challenging routes that will take place between Wednesday, February 19 and Sunday, February 23.

The race starts strong with what may be the queen stage of the race. A route between Torrox Costa and Cueva de Nerja that includes no less than 6 climbs and a final uphill finish. Similar characteristics can be found in the second stage between Alcaudete and Torredelcampo, which has a true uphill finish that compensates for a slightly more gentle final third of the stage compared to the previous day.
The third stage will take place in the province of Córdoba, with a route between Arjona and Pozoblanco, marked by the Españares climb early in the day. Although the profile may seem unselective, it is the typical challenging terrain where a quality breakaway can go a long way, making it difficult to control for the team holding the lead.
Also challenging will be the 4th stage between Cordoba and Alhaurín de la Torre, which, due to its clearly favorable final third, is very likely to be an opportunity for the fast men in the peloton, just like the 5th and final stage between Benahavís and La Línea de la Concepción, with two distinct parts, the first half being medium mountain and a completely flat final part with the Campo de Gibraltar as the backdrop.
Favorites to win the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía
The line-ups of the teams participating in the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía are being revealed, and undoubtedly, the name that stands out the most, especially after his spectacular start to the season at the AlUla Tour, is Tom Pidcock, who recently announced his spring campaign schedule, including this Vuelta a Andalucía.
However, the British rider will face much stronger rivals than those he encountered in Saudi Arabia, starting with Egan Bernal, who is starting to resemble the rider who won the 2019 Tour de France, three years after the fateful accident that could have cost him his life. The INEOS-Grenadiers leader arrives in great form for his first European race of the season after winning both the time trial and road race at the Colombian national championship.
We must also consider what Movistar Team, which has started the year with unusual ambition, can bring to the table. In the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía, their leader will be Enric Mas, but we should also keep an eye on the always combative Pelayo Sánchez. Additionally, Movistar will support them with solid riders like Gonzalo Serrano or Nairo Quintana.
Also present at the start of the Vuelta a Andalucía will be South African Alan Hatherly, the reigning XCO World Champion, who will surely try to challenge Tom Pidcock even more than we saw in their first encounter outside of mountain biking at the AlUla Tour.
