Luca Martin wins the XCC of Mont-Sainte-Anne with the help of his teammate
The Frenchman Luca Martin (Cannondale Factory Racing) took the victory in the Short Track of Mont-Sainte-Anne 2025, in a tactical and highly contested race that closed out the season for the discipline. His teammate Charlie Aldridge finished second, completing a spectacular double for Cannondale, while the Frenchman Adrien Boichis (Specialized Factory Racing) crossed the finish line in third place.

Chilean Martín Vidaurre (Specialized Factory Racing) was the fastest at the start and set the pace in the early stages, followed by Mathis Azzaro (Origine Racing Division) and Luca Schwarzbauer (Canyon CLLCTV XCO). The race was set for 10 laps, and from the beginning, the leading group stretched out due to the extremely high pace.
During the middle of the race, the lead was a carousel of names: Schwarzbauer, Boichis, and Blevins himself (already the overall champion) took turns leading without managing to break away. No one could break the group, and everything pointed to a sprint finish.

With four laps to go, Charlie Aldridge launched the first serious attack, followed by his teammate Luca Martin, while Boichis tried to stay at the front with them. But everything was resolved on the last lap, the two Cannondale Factory Racing riders executed a joint strategy in which Aldridge controlled Boichis' movements, a somewhat controversial move, allowing Martin to launch his final attack and cross the finish line first.
The result was a dream double for the Cannondale team, with Martin in first and Aldridge in second, while Boichis, who fought until the end, settled for the third step of the podium.
Among the Spaniards, David Valero finished in 32nd place and Jofre Cullel in 39th.
