The Albenga race, with a C1 category, is another one that hosts a high level XCO during the preseason, and this edition was no exception. Some of the most powerful teams, such as Orbea Factory Team, Thomus Maxon, Specialized Factory Racing, Team BMC, or Santa Cruz RockShox, gathered in this Italian town and the high level of the race is reflected in its podium.

The men's race was held in tough muddy conditions and the race was decided in an intense final duel between Titouan Carod and Victor Koretzky. RECOMENDADO
In Banyoles, where Koretzky also won, he competed with the S-Works Epic World Cup that he chose for the past Olympic Test and could be the model he chooses for the Olympics, but in the Albenga race we saw him for the first time riding with the new Epic that the brand has not yet presented. Here you have more photos and information about this prototype, but it seems that the BRAIN system has been abandoned in favor of the new electronic suspensions and that the bike has a new frame and geometry.
