Klimatiza Orbea and Buff Megamo conquer the Andorra Epic Pyrenees 2025

The fourth and final day of the Andorra Epic Pyrenees 2025 crowned the Buff Megamo (women) and Klimatiza Orbea (men) teams as the big winners this Sunday in an edition marked by high competitive level and ideal weather conditions for MTB.

Buff Megamo's uncontested dominance in the women's category

Rosa van Doorn and Janina Wüst (Buff Megamo) arrived at the final day with a comfortable lead of 13:45 in the general classification, and instead of settling, they secured a third stage victory. Despite a scare due to a flat tire for Van Doorn, they resolved the incident in less than a minute thanks to their teamwork and did not lose ground to their rivals from Efficient Safari Essence.

Upon crossing the finish line in La Massana, they added 7'41" to their lead, closing their leadership with a total difference of 21:35. The Namibians Vera Looser and Danielle du Toit finished second in both the final stage and the general classification, while the podium was completed by Antonia Daubermann and Naama Noyman (1VISION).

"We are super happy to take the victory," celebrated Van Doorn. "We had a problem in the first stage, but every day we got stronger. I am very happy with how we worked together as a team. This race has been incredible, the trails here are completely different from those in the Netherlands."

In addition to the title, Van Doorn achieved Epic Legend status by also completing the Absa Cape Epic and the 4Islands Epic.

"Now I am an Epic Legend, and that gave me an extra motivation. The organization of the Epic Series already feels like a family. It is always a pleasure to participate in these events," she added.

Wüst also expressed her excitement: "I am happy to compete again and have been a better partner for Rosa than in the Cape Epic. I really enjoyed the descents here. Although it is difficult to choose a favorite stage, I think the queen stage stuck with me: very tough climbs, but incredible descents."

Klimatiza Orbea struggles but wins the Andorra Epic Pyrenees 2025

The excitement in the men's category was at its peak. Marc Stutzmann and Sebastian Gesche (Klimatiza Orbea) started the day with a 1:13 lead and had to sweat to keep the yellow jersey against the push from Singer KTM Racing, who won the stage with Simon Stiebjahn and Martin Frey in the lead.

The day started at the Naturland Adventure Park and took the cyclists up to 2,140 meters at Refugi Roca de Pimes. In the first section, Klimatiza Orbea, Singer KTM, and TRINITY Racing shared the leading group. It was in the descent where the Germans from Singer KTM launched an attack that gave them up to 47 seconds of advantage.

"It has been a stage full of emotions," acknowledged Gesche. "We had to push from the beginning to keep up with the TRINITY guys. Then, Singer KTM attacked and took about 15 seconds from us. We had to chase the entire ascent along the river. At some points, we thought they could take the lead from us. It has been stressful, but in the end, it was a great relief."

"I am very happy to win with Sebas," added Stutzmann. "It is my first victory this year and the first with Klimatiza Orbea. But I am not only happy for myself, I know what it means for him too."

With only 32 seconds lost at the finish line, Stutzmann and Gesche secured the title with 2 minutes and 13 seconds over Stiebjahn and Frey. The third final position went to Buff Megamo 2 (Jose Dias and Pablo Rodriguez Guede), even though they could only manage fifth in this last stage.
