Jenny Rissveds signs with a road team and could be in the Tour de France
Sweden's Jenny Rissveds has announced her signing with Team Coop - Hitec Products, a Norwegian road team, as of June 1st and although her main calendar will be mountain biking, the Swedish federation has advanced that she could be in the next Tour de France 2023.
Jenny Rissved could be in 2023 Tour de France with Team Coop - Hitec Products
Former Olympic champion and current Swedish road champion Jenny Rissveds is the founder and leader of the mountain bike Team 31, but like many other mountain bikers she has decided to combine both disciplines this season.
She will continue to race the XC World Cup with Team 31 but will also take part in some road races with the Norwegian women's team Team Coop - Hitec Products. This is what her new team announced on social media: "Former Olympic mountain bike champion and current Swedish road champion Jenny Rissveds will join our team from June 1st. Her main focus will still be MTB, but she is looking forward to giving it her all on the road with us."

And this is what Karl Lima, director of the COOP-Hitec Products team, had to say about her possible participation in the Tour.
"I am very happy to have been able to sign Jenny. We at the COOP-Hitec Products team are keen for her to develop in our team, while fully respecting her commitment to MTB. Her racing program has not yet been determined. Of course, she will be a strong candidate for the Tour de France. We will make an official selection at the end of June; we have 16 riders on the team who want to participate in this great race."
The Norwegian team has an invitation to participate in the Tour, which will be contested in eight stages between July 23 and 30, which would be compatible with Rissveds' MTB calendar between the Val di Sole World Cup (July 2) and the World Cup (August 8-12).
