Jennifer Jackson dominates at the 2025 Pan American XCO and Gerardo Ulloa returns to the top spot
The Canadian Jennifer Jackson has established herself as the great star of the Pan American MTB Championship, held this week at Finca La Lucha, very close to San José (Costa Rica). The Orbea Fox Factory Team rider has had a perfect weekend in the fight for this continental title, winning the XCO, XCC, and Team Relay titles alongside the Canadian national team. In the men's XCO race, Mexican Gerardo Ulloa won his first major title after serving an 18-month suspension for not attending 3 anti-doping controls.
Jennifer Jackson wins everything at the 2025 Pan American XCO Championship
After her brilliant performance at the Araxá World Cup (Brazil), Jackson has shown excellent form at this continental event, where the best cyclists in America gathered to compete in the different specialties.
The competition started with the Team Relay, where the Canadian rider signed a decisive lap that allowed her country to beat the United States and Chile. Just a day later, Jackson shone again in the Short Track (XCC), winning a close final against American Kate Courtney, after an exciting mano a mano in the last laps.

In the XCO main event, Jackson and Courtney quickly distanced themselves from the group, although the Canadian attacked from the start, managed to drop her rival, and opened up a lead that she extended lap after lap until surpassing a minute. With this performance, Jackson won her second Pan American XCO title, spectacularly culminating a dream start to the season.
The cyclist from Toronto has not only reaffirmed her status as a great promise but is beginning to establish herself as one of the figures to follow in international MTB in 2025.
In the men's event, José Gerardo Ulloa signed what will surely be one of the most important victories of his sports career.
The Mexican returned to competition 3 months ago after serving the 18-month suspension that kept him away from the circuits and caused him to miss the last Olympics. During this time, the cyclist did not stop his training and has had the support of the Massi team, and although we already saw him compete in the Araxá World Cup, it was at the Pan American where he signed a victory that confirms his great form.
In the XCO race, Ulloa beat Brazilian Ulan Bastos (Caloi Henrique Avancini) with a final attack that allowed him to cross the finish line first with a 6-second lead. The podium was completed by Argentine Catriel Soto of the BH Coloma Team.
