Iserbyt disqualified for intentionally breaking his rival's wheel
The Belgian Eli Iserbyt has showcased the worst side of cycling this weekend with a very temperamental action in which he broke the wheel of Kamp after a race incident at the Exact Cross Beringen. The race was won by Lars van der Haar.
Iserbyt was disqualified from the Exact Cross Beringen for this action
With still a few weeks to go before the start of the Cyclocross World Cup, the cyclocross season has kicked off in Belgium with the Exact Cross Beringen. A race marked by mud and the dominance of Lars Van der Haar and Michael Vanthorenhout, who led the race until Van der Haar launched a final attack that gave him the victory.
But during the race, all attention was focused on one of the most embarrassing actions we have seen in recent times. Belgian champion Eli Iserbyt was involved in a fall, very typical of these muddy races, alongside Ryan Kamp and when Iserbyt got up, he violently stepped on Kamp's wheel spokes.
