Insta360 GO 3S: the smallest action camera jumps to 4K

Keeping the format of its predecessor, which remains in the catalog, the Insta360 GO 3S concentrates a lot of functions, many of them new, and the ability to store videos up to 4K resolution of much higher quality thanks to its improved lens in the size of a thumb and only 39 grams.

Action cameras continue to evolve and, with each new version, offer capabilities that were unimaginable just a few years ago. A good example of this is the new Insta360 GO 3S, a tiny camera in size but not in its great capabilities.

Obviously, we must start by referring to its image quality, enhanced by a new controller chip with 50% more computing power than the previous one, allowing it to store and process twice as many pixels as its predecessor and achieve 4K video quality. In addition, image quality is enhanced with features such as MegaView FOV that minimizes image distortion at the edges; Dolby Vision-Ready that uses enhanced HDR technology to expand the range of use; or a greater slow-motion capacity thanks to the ability to reach 200 fps in 1080p quality.

Like many other current products, the Insta360 GO 3S takes advantage of AI technologies, using its application to facilitate faster editing. In addition, it includes several recording functions that allow us to store content without having to worry about anything, for example, by programming recording intervals and the duration of the clips that are captured.

The Insta360 GO 3S continues to benefit from a very small size and weight, so we can attach it anywhere on our body using the various available mounts or, if not, take advantage of its magnetic body so we can place it on any metal surface with total confidence.

Like the GO 3, this new Insta360 GO 3S is accompanied by the so-called Action Pod, a housing that functions as a charger and remote control in addition to allowing us to preview recordings thanks to its 2.2'' touch screen.

An Insta360 GO 3S that we will not lose since it integrates Apple Find My location technology along with other functions such as being able to switch from recording vertically to horizontally simply by changing the camera orientation, waterproof housing up to 10 m, or the ability to start and stop recording or take remote image captures through gestures.

The new Insta360 GO 3S will be available from June 13 and comes with a white or black housing, in both cases in two versions with storage capacity of 64 GB or 128 GB with a price of €399.99 and €429.99 respectively. In addition, since the Action Pod remains unchanged, those who have an Insta360 GO 3 can upgrade by purchasing only the camera, without accessories, at a price of €239.99, €269.99 if we choose the higher capacity version.
