INEOS reinvents itself: new sponsor, new name, and ambition for a super team
The INEOS Grenadiers are preparing for a new stage. The British team is about to finalize the arrival of a new main sponsor valued at around 20 million euros annually, an agreement that will bring a new name, new equipment, and a strengthened project aimed at competing again with the big "super teams" of the peloton.
Ineos aims to return to the elite with a new main sponsor of 20 million per year
Although the agreement has not yet been officially announced, all signs point to the new partner being a large Danish technology company specializing in software and IT services. The contract would be structured long-term, lasting five seasons with a total value close to 100 million euros, and its public presentation could take place before the Tour de France 2026, at which point the team would also unveil a new visual identity and new jersey.
The arrival of this sponsor would be part of a broader plan to strengthen the sports project of the team led by Dave Brailsford, who has recently returned to the structure. The internal goal would be to raise the annual budget to nearly 50 million euros, a figure that would allow for economic competition with some of the most powerful teams in the current peloton.

The new sponsor would replace the Grenadiers brand, the car brand that currently names the team, on the jersey, but the ownership of the team will remain with Jim Ratcliffe.
In addition to this new main partner, the team hopes to expand the agreement with TotalEnergies, which joined as a major sponsor before the Tour de France 2025. The French energy company could not become the title sponsor at that time due to its relationship with the French team TotalEnergies, but that link ends at the conclusion of this season.
The financial boost comes at a time when the British squad is trying to rebuild its sports project after several seasons away from its historical dominance in the grand tours.
With a strengthened budget, Ineos could also enter the bidding for some of the most sought-after cyclists in the peloton. Among the names starting to emerge is that of young Frenchman Paul Seixas, one of the great promises of current cycling, whose contract with his current team ends in 2027.
If the new sponsor is confirmed and the economic project consolidates, the British team aims to compete on equal terms with structures like UAE Team Emirates-XRG, Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, or Visma-Lease a Bike, the current benchmarks of the peloton in terms of budget and depth of roster.
