Indurain's legendary Pinarello Espada arrives at Zwift
Zwift continues to enhance the gaming aspect that has made this virtual cycling platform so popular, incorporating three spectacular bikes into its Zwift Drop Shop and introducing the Bike Upgrade system, which allows us to improve the characteristics of the bikes in our garage.
Upgrade the bikes in your Zwift garage with the new Bike Upgrade System
The bike chosen in Zwift has an influence on the performance of our avatar in the popular virtual cycling platform. To enhance the influence of the bike's characteristics on Zwift performance, Zwift has created the Bike Upgrade System, so that each of the bikes in our garage will now have 5 levels of evolution.

To increase the level of a bike, we must complete a small challenge such as riding a certain number of hours, covering a certain number of kilometers, climbing a certain elevation, or simply spending a certain amount of sweat drops on it. Depending on the level at which we have the chosen bike, we will obtain in each of them: improved aerodynamics, weight reduction, increased transmission efficiency, a 5% experience points bonus, and a 5% drops or sweat drops bonus.
And speaking of these sweat drops, the virtual bike store, the Zwift Drop Shop, has added three spectacular and legendary models, but to access them, you must upgrade three bikes of the same brand to level 5.
The three recently added bikes are the Specialized Project 74, which pays tribute to the founding of the Morgan Hill brand. The Martian Cannondale R4000 Roller Blade, a spectacular concept bike that the brand introduced in the mid-90s, where the front wheel was replaced by rollerblade wheels; and lastly, one of the most iconic bikes of all time, none other than the Pinarello Espada with which Miguel Indurain set the hour record.
