Ice & Palms, a bikepacking and adventure film to escape the heat

The film Ice & Palms tells the story of the bikepacking journey undertaken by skiers Jochen Mesle and Max Kroneck from Germany to the Mediterranean, crossing the Alps. The only rule of the trip was that they could not use any motorized vehicles and had to climb and ski as much as possible. A true bicycle journey that combines mountaineering, skiing, and bikepacking.

Ice & Palms full movie 

The documentary recounts an adventure of 1,800 km with 35,000 m of elevation gain in which 2 mountain and nature lovers managed to make a dream come true. The journey lasted 6 weeks and ended in June 2018 after Jochen and Max crossed Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France by bike and skis on the most mountainous route imaginable.
