How much does Pogacar earn? At least 13 million euros in 2026

Tadej Pogacar not only continues to expand his sports records, but he is also driving professional cycling salaries to unprecedented figures. The Slovenian already widely topped the list of the highest-paid cyclists in the world, but his total earnings go far beyond his salary with UAE Team Emirates-XRG. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, in 2026 he will reach at least 13 million euros, surpassing the approximately 12 million he would have earned during the previous season.

Pogacar will reach 13 million euros in 2026

This figure gives an idea of the dimension that Pogacar has acquired both inside and outside of cycling. His contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG amounts to 8 million euros annually, but currently represents just over half of all the money he can generate in a season.

To that salary, we must add the various bonuses included in his agreements. His fifth victory in the Tour de France has earned him another million euros, while finishing 2026 as the number one in the world ranking will mean 500,000 euros additional, a goal that La Gazzetta already considers secured.

The tally continues with personal commercial agreements. Pogacar will earn around 2.5 million euros from sponsors, compared to approximately 2 million in 2025.

The Slovenian currently works with a dozen main partners, including Colnago, DMT, MET, Continental, Enervit, Slovenia Tourism, MyWhoosh, KuCoin, Richard Mille, and Whoop. In the case of DMT, his agreement with the shoe brand is even for life.

Despite the enormous commercial interest generated around the cyclist, his representatives Alex and Johnny Carera have deliberately decided to limit the number of agreements. The intention is to avoid overexposure of Pogacar and preserve the value of his image rather than indefinitely increasing the number of sponsors.

Merchandising contributes approximately another million euros, thus completing a minimum estimated figure of 13 million for this season.

The distribution of his income in 2026 would be as follows:

• Salary UAE Team Emirates-XRG: 8 million euros.
• Personal sponsorships: 2.5 million.
• Merchandising: 1 million.
• Bonus for winning the Tour de France: 1 million.
• Bonus for finishing number one in the world ranking: 500,000 euros.
• Estimated total: at least 13 million euros.

The Vuelta and the World Championship could further increase the figure

The 13 million does not necessarily represent Pogacar's ceiling this season. There are still two sporting objectives that could significantly increase his earnings.

According to figures published by La Gazzetta, winning the Vuelta a España would mean an additional bonus of 500,000 euros, while conquering the World Championship would add another 250,000 euros.

Therefore, if Pogacar were to achieve both victories, his earnings could reach at least 13.75 million euros in 2026.

Part of the money generated around the Slovenian also returns to cycling itself. His agent Alex Carera estimates that Pogacar allocates at least one million euros each year to charitable projects and to the youth team that bears his name. The profits from certain competition products marketed around his figure are also directed to his foundation.

A contract until 2030 and a relationship with UAE that could continue after retirement

The commercial value of Pogacar grows at the same pace as his results. He already surpasses three million followers on Instagram, and events like the Pogi Challenge held in Slovenia after the Tour reflect the enormous interest he generates around his figure.

However, this growth does not seem to indicate a team change. Pogacar has a contract with UAE Team Emirates-XRG until 2030 and La Gazzetta points out that his relationship with the Emirati structure could continue even after he leaves professional cycling.

The rider himself has reportedly conveyed to people around him his intention to remain linked to the team for a long time: "I will stay here forever. I am very happy here and I don't want to change".

Another question is how long he will continue to compete. An extension until 2031 or 2032 appears as a possibility, although there is still no definitive decision. These plans could also be influenced by the sporting future of his partner, Urška Žigart, whose contract with AG Insurance-Soudal currently extends until 2028.

For now, Pogacar continues to accumulate victories and records. And that of 2026 shows that his dominance is no longer limited solely to what happens on the bike.
