Hammerhead launches Karoo Share, its system for sharing routes in seconds and offline
Hammerhead continues to evolve its offering within the advanced cycling computer segment with the introduction of Karoo Share, a new feature that focuses on direct connectivity between cyclists. Beyond metrics, navigation, or integration with electronic components, the brand takes a step towards a more practical experience on the road, especially during group rides.
Hammerhead strengthens its ecosystem with Karoo Share: share routes in seconds, without a mobile or connection
Karoo Share allows sending routes and profiles from one Karoo device to another in a matter of seconds, without the need for a smartphone, coverage, or external platforms. This simplifies sharing a track before or during the ride without relying on apps or intermediate processes.

In real use, this translates into something very concrete. If a group modifies the route on the fly, if a cyclist loses the route, or if one simply wants to share a workout or screen profile, the transfer is done directly between devices. Everything happens within the Karoo itself, without friction and without additional steps.

However, the feature also has certain limitations and only works between compatible Karoo devices (from 2024 onwards) and in one-to-one transfers, so it does not replace mass route distribution platforms, but rather focuses on immediacy and simplicity on the road.
A feature that fits into an increasingly connected ecosystem
The arrival of Karoo Share is not an isolated addition, but rather reinforces the philosophy of SRAM (the parent company of Hammerhead and RockShox, among others) and the device itself to become a complete control center for the cycling experience.

The Karoo 3 already integrates advanced navigation with global maps and automatic climb detection, instant route synchronization, total connectivity with sensors, and direct compatibility with the SRAM AXS ecosystem. Additionally, it allows managing data, routes, and workouts from the Companion App and Dashboard without the need to manipulate the device while in motion. Within this context, Karoo Share adds an extra layer with direct interaction between cyclists.
The brand emphasizes that one of the most interesting points is that this functionality makes sense in practically any discipline. On the road, it facilitates group coordination; in gravel, where routes can change on the fly, it provides flexibility; and in MTB, especially in remote environments, it eliminates dependence on mobile coverage.
