Great discount on Decathlon's cargobike for Black Friday
Although there are still a couple of weeks left until Black Friday, Decathlon is already hinting at some interesting offers. One of the juiciest ones is the discount that its electric cargobike F900E has received, which arrived in the French company's range in the middle of the year as an interesting solution for those who choose to minimize the use of the car in their day to day.

Urban mobility by bike is a way of life for those who want to contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by minimizing the use of the car. In European countries where urban mobility is more ingrained, cargo bikes, as they are popularly known, have experienced significant growth in recent years, benefiting from electric assistance.
This popularization has not gone unnoticed by the sports chain Decathlon, which has not hesitated to incorporate a couple of models in its catalog while maintaining its hallmark of unbeatable value for money.

The latest addition to Decathlon's catalog is this F900E, a cargo bike designed not only for transporting cargo, as its name suggests, but also aimed at parents who want to use the bike to transport their children without having to rely on the car.
Regarding this last point, a clarification is needed. Despite Article 12 of the General Traffic Regulations stating that only a child under 7 years old can be carried on a bike using an approved seat, in February 2023 the DGT had to issue a clarifying note at the request of the Network of Cities for Bicycles regarding the transportation of people in the increasingly popular cargo bikes.
In this clarification, the DGT referred to Royal Decree 339/2014, which states that if the bike's manual specifies that it is designed for more seats and has the corresponding retention systems to guarantee the safety of passengers, as many people as the number of seats indicated in the manual can be transported.
As expected, Decathlon's F900E meets these requirements, allowing up to 4 children to be carried, each with their own safety belts and a side door with a safety lock to prevent them from opening it. Additionally, to make the journey even more comfortable on those winter days or when it rains, the F900E has a cover for the cargo area.
In total, Decathlon's F900E can carry up to 184 kilos, 101.5 in the front and 27 more on the rear rack. Obviously, moving all this weight would not be possible unless we lived in a completely flat area or, as is the case, if we did not have the electric assistance provided by its Brose motor, capable of delivering 90 Nm of torque. The motor is powered by a 630 Wh capacity battery, providing a range of 40 to 80 kilometers depending on the mode used and the load transported.
And when it comes to stopping such a heavy bike, you won't have any problems as it is equipped with Tektro MH535 brakes with 4-piston calipers and 180 mm discs that will allow you to maintain control in any situation. The mechanical part is completed with a Shimano Nexus 5E gearbox integrated into the rear wheel hub.
Finally, Decathlon also does not overlook connectivity thanks to the inclusion of a GPS tracker and the Geocover application, free for the first year, which allows you to locate the bike at all times, something that can be extremely useful for recovering it in case of theft.
A top-level cargo ebike that already had a tremendously competitive price, now, with the arrival of Black Friday, receives a significant discount and you can get one for 4,699.99 on Decathlon's own website, receiving it at home ready to ride.
