Goodbye to smelly cycling bottles: Fabric launches the new Gripper V2

Fabric has introduced the new Gripper V2, the evolution of one of its most popular bottles now made with a material featuring permanent antimicrobial protection integrated into the body of the bottle itself. According to the British brand, this technology prevents bad odors and tastes from developing over time, one of the most common problems with this type of accessory.

The new Gripper V2 maintains the ergonomic design that made the first generation popular, but introduces improvements in both durability and user experience. The antimicrobial protection is directly incorporated into the material of the bottle, so, according to Fabric, it keeps water free of odors and tastes throughout its useful life without relying on surface treatments.

Another of the most visible changes is the disappearance of printed graphics. Instead, the Fabric logo is embossed on the surface of the bottle, a solution that prevents the decoration from deteriorating with scratches and continued use.

The Gripper V2 also retains familiar elements from the previous generation, such as the BPA-free flexible body, a high-flow silicone valve to facilitate hydration, and a textured grip around the neck of the bottle that improves grip even in rain or when using gloves.

Florian Bont, head of the Fabric brand, explains that the goal of the development was to address two of the most common complaints among cyclists:

"With the Gripper V2 we wanted to solve the two biggest problems users have with bottles: the bad taste and bad odor that develop over time, as well as the graphics that end up peeling. By integrating both the antimicrobial agent and the logo directly into the material, we have created a product that maintains a pristine appearance and fresh taste for years."

Available in two sizes and six colors

The Fabric Gripper V2 is now available in 600 ml and 750 ml versions. The range includes six finishes: Smoke, Desert, Crimson, Moss, Lake and a clear version.

The price of the 600 ml version is €11.9 and the 750 ml version is €13.9.
