Golden arrives at the bicycles of Olympic champions

Evenepoel, Brown, and Faulkner turn their bicycles into gold

Some of the athletes who won gold medals in cycling have received specially designed bicycles to commemorate their victories, with a golden finish that in the world of cycling recognizes those who hold the title of Olympic champion.

Remco Evenepoel, who demonstrated power and dominance by winning gold in both the road race and the time trial, has received a golden Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8. This golden design, which includes a transition from black to gold on the head tube, highlights the exclusivity of the model. It has not yet been confirmed if Evenepoel will compete with this precious model that recognizes him as an Olympic champion for the rest of the season.

For the last three years, in the men's road cycling category, Richard Carapaz has been the one riding the golden bicycle as the champion of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, while Roglic has done so as the champion in the time trial discipline. It is worth noting that in their cases, it was three years, as the Olympics held in Japan had to be postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
