Fulcrum adds the new Sharq 57 to its line of aerodynamic wheels
After launching last year the market its Sharq 42 wavy profile wheels for road and gravel, now Fulcrum delves deeper into this concept and applies this design to wheels with a much more generous profile in order to achieve the best aerodynamic advantages while still being versatile wheels.

Aerodynamics, stability, and ease of handling come together in the new Fulcrum Sharq 57
New version of the wavy profile Fulcrum Sharq wheels that now grow in size and, therefore, in aerodynamic advantages thanks to the increase in the 2-Wave rim profile that, as its name already allows us to guess, grows up to 57 mm at its lowest point and up to 62 mm at the crests where the 24 spokes that each rim has are inserted.
Spokes that, as is customary in Fulcrum wheels, are placed by passing the nipples to their location with a magnet to avoid having to drill the rim bed, which increases its resistance and stiffness while making the use of tubeless rim tape unnecessary. Features for which Fulcrum has relied on a construction with high modulus FF100 carbon.

The rims of these Fulcrum Sharq 57 have a generous 25 mm rim bed, making them suitable for tires from 30 mm and up, and, like their siblings, makes them very suitable for competition gravel where aerodynamics is becoming, like on the road, a crucial aspect.
It is worth mentioning that Fulcrum has worked to optimize the design of the waves that form the profile of its rim, combining a symmetrical central part with two asymmetrical lateral waves that serve to improve the maneuverability of the wheels, in fact, according to Fulcrum data, this barely decreases by 1% compared to the increase in profile compared to the Sharq 42 and, consequently, also in weight.

Wheels that weigh 1,520 g, will be available with HG and Microspline hub for Shimano, SRAM's XDR, and Campagnolo's N3W for a price in all cases of €2,560
