From Formula 1 to cycling: Carlos Sainz will launch two clothing collections with Gobik
The Spanish brand Gobik continues to expand its presence beyond professional cycling and has just announced a strategic alliance with one of the most recognized Spanish athletes worldwide. Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz and the Murcia-based company have signed a multi-year agreement to jointly develop new cycling and lifestyle clothing collections inspired by cycling.

Gobik signs Carlos Sainz to develop new cycling collections
The announcement coincided with the weekend of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix in Silverstone and marks Sainz's entry into the cycling sector as an active collaborator in the design and development of products. According to Gobik, the driver will not be limited to lending his image but will directly participate in aspects such as fabric selection, colors, fit, and performance standards of the garments.
Although his sports career is linked to motorsport, Carlos Sainz is a regular on the bike. The current driver for the Atlassian Williams Formula 1 team uses cycling as a fundamental part of his physical preparation throughout the season.

“Cycling is a fundamental part of my training. I spend at least two hours a day on the bike, and anyone who knows me knows that I love being outdoors; it’s just part of who I am. Gobik's attention to fit and fabrics is on another level, and this partnership came about naturally from the very first conversation,” Sainz explained.

“For me, it was never just about putting my name on a jersey. I have been involved in the entire design process, from the fabrics to the color combinations.”
Two different collections
The collaboration will kick off with the launch of two differentiated product lines. The first will be a collection called Gobik x 55, focused on technical garments for training and competition with an aesthetic inspired by the world of competition.
The second will be part of the future Fifty Five brand, driven by Carlos Sainz himself, and will be oriented towards premium lifestyle clothing linked to cycling and the driver's personal universe. Both collections will be available worldwide through Gobik's and Carlos Sainz's online sales channels, in addition to featuring some specific activations and events.
Gobik aims to reach new audiences
For the Spanish brand, which currently outfits top-level teams such as UAE Team Emirates XRG, Movistar Team, or INEOS Grenadiers, the alliance represents an opportunity to expand its presence beyond traditional cycling and connect with international audiences linked to sport and premium lifestyle.
“Carlos represents everything that defines Gobik: speed, discipline, and Spanish character. This is not a sponsorship; it is an authentic co-creation with an athlete who lives the sport for which we design every day,” stated Alberto García Cantero, co-founder of the company.
The first garments resulting from this collaboration are scheduled for commercial launch on August 25, 2026.
