From Aldridge’s attack to Boichis’ sprint: video of the best moments from the XCC World Championships
The Men's Short Track World Championship left a very fast and open race until practically the last lap. Adrien Boichis, Charlie Aldridge, and Luca Martin reached the final lap as the strongest men, and among them, the rainbow jersey was ultimately decided.
The XCC World Championship was decided in a head-to-head between Boichis and Aldridge
It was Aldridge who launched the decisive move. The Brit accelerated strongly and managed to definitively select the lead group, but he could not shake off Boichis. The Frenchman held on to the attack and reached the final meters ready to contest the victory.

There, Boichis ended up imposing his speed to outpace Aldridge in the sprint and proclaim himself the 2026 Short Track Elite World Champion. Luca Martin finished two seconds later and took the bronze.
