Flückiger beats Schurter, Keller flies and Henderson shines at the Bike Revolution in Huttwil
One of the most important quotes of the international XCO was experienced this weekend at the second stop of the Swiss championship Bike Revolution, in the town of Huttwil. There, Mathias Fluckiger and Alessandra Keller took the victory to the delight of the local audience.
Mathias Flückiger dominates solo in Huttwil after dropping Schurter in the last lap
The elite men's race at Bike Revolution Huttwil offered an exciting duel between the best Swiss XCO riders. From the early stages, the race fragmented at the front, with a group formed by Mathias Flückiger, Nino Schurter, Joel Roth, Lars Forster, Dario Lillo, and Filippo Colombo.
However, the spotlight soon fell on the Flückiger-Schurter duo, who set the pace until the last lap. It was then when Flückiger launched a devastating attack uphill, to which Schurter fought to respond while watching the distance with his compatriot. That gap would ultimately be decisive and allowed Fluckiger to cross the finish line solo.
