This seems to be the case with the S-Works shoes that Remco Evenepoel seems to be using. Shoes that could be seen in a team video and caught the attention of shoe customization expert Jota Kicks.
It would be, apparently, a new version of the S-Works Ares as indicated by the Boa inserted in the upper closure flap. But, instead of having a second Boa at the bottom, this would have been replaced by a velcro in the style of the Torch, the other reference model in the Specialized range. It is also noticeable in the images that the Boa would have the metallic dial instead of the plastic ones used in the current Ares in the catalog. It is surely a prototype of a new shoe that we will know more about sooner rather than later.
