Evenepoel debuts the rainbow jersey on his S-Works Tarmac SL7
The dispute of the Belgian classic Binche-Chimay-Binche was the chosen stage by Remco Evenepoel to showcase the rainbow jersey he will wear during the next season, and as is customary in these cases, it included a new bike decorated for the occasion.
Specialized prepares an S-Works Tarmac decorated with rainbow colors for Remco Evenepoel
Third bike that the recently crowned World Champion, Remco Evenepoel, has debuted in the last few weeks after the S-Works Tarmac SL7 decorated with the colors of La Vuelta that served to celebrate his victory in the Spanish race and the unpainted version of the same bike, seeking maximum lightness, with which he won the World Championships in Wollongong.

For this new decoration of his S-Works Tarmac SL7, Specialized could not choose any other color than white, which serves as a background on which to place the different motifs referring to the recently achieved World Championship.
In this case, the rainbow stripes that identify the current world champion are limited to the rear part of the seat tube. In addition to this subtle reference, only a mention of the victory on the top tube and the motto "Legends are built not born" on the right seatstay remind us that we are in front of the bike of a true World Champion.
This new S-Works Tarmac SL7 maintains the setup that Remco Evenepoel has been using throughout the season and, presumably, unless Specialized launches new products, he will continue to use it in the upcoming campaign where he will surely continue under the guidance of Patrick Levefere after the rumors of INEOS Grenadiers' interest in signing him have cooled off.

Dressed for the occasion
Of course, in the debut of his new colors, the design of the rainbow kit made by Castelli could not be overlooked, the brand responsible for the equipment of QuickStep-Alpha Vinyl in which the Italian brand has incorporated, according to UCI parameters, the identifying color stripes and the logos of the different sponsors of the Belgian team.
Garments that, on the upper part, have been designed in two versions: with the original white background, which will be used by Remco Evenepoel in the different road competitions he participates in, and with a black background as a training kit. On the other hand, the shorts remain with a black background and, like the jersey, they display the rainbow bands at the end of the legs.
What stands out in the design of the jersey is the lack of continuity of the rainbow bands around the entire chest area as they pass through the sides under the armpits. The construction of the garment chosen by Castelli includes a breathable mesh panel under the armpits that, for some reason, has not received the world champion colors, creating a strange image when side shots of the Belgian cyclist were shown.
Debut with an impact
Remco Evenepoel did not go unnoticed in his debut as a rainbow in the Binche-Chimay-Binche, trying to break the race on several occasions with more than 80 kilometers to go to the finish line.
After failing to make a difference, in the last lap of the final circuit, he dropped back to cross the finish line alongside his teammate Iljo Keisse who was competing in his last race.
