Electronic suspensions with rigid seatpost, that's the spectacular Lukas Baum's Orbea Oiz European Champion edition
The German Lukas Baum was crowned XCM European Champion last August by crossing the finish line first in a sprint ahead of David Valero. Now, alongside his teammate Georg Egger, the Orbea Leatt Speed Company is about to start the 2025 season, and Lukas will ride a special version of his Orbea Oiz, featuring Flight Attendant suspension but with a rigid seatpost.
This is the Orbea Oiz of the XCM European Champion
The duo that makes up the Orbea Leatt Speed Company rose to fame in 2022 by winning the Cape Epic. At that time, they were not part of any major team structure, and today they continue to compete almost unassisted. Nevertheless, their talent and charisma have led them to the podium of the best XCM and stage races in the world, earning the support of fans.
In the 2025 season, they will start competing in the stage race Tankwa Trek Fields, and then they will return to Spain to race the XCO events in Chelva and Banyoles before heading to the Cape Epic. It will be in these races where we will see Lukas compete with his new Orbea Oiz customized with the colors of the European Champion.
After the Cape Epic, the Orbea Leatt Speed Company has planned an extensive calendar combining XCO, XCM, gravel, and stage races. Of course, Lukas Baum will be in Liguria next June to try to defend his XCM European Champion title.
