Eddy Merckx Bikes announces its return with a renewed and updated catalog. The brand of the legendary Belgian rider reopens after a three-year hiatus forced by the pandemic. The return of Eddy Merckx Bikes brings news and updated models
The pandemic inflated the cycling industry to unprecedented levels. A boom time in which demand registered record levels, but in which there were also some companies in the sector that were less fortunate. This is the case of Eddy Merckx Bikes, which almost disappeared from the map after stopping production with the arrival of the virus. However, the firm took the opportunity to give a breath of fresh air to the catalog that now sees the light.
During these three seasons of absence, the brand that Eddy Merckx founded in 1980 - he sold his stake in 2008 and has been owned by Belgian Cycling Factory since 2017- maintained its presence in professional cycling thanks to its link with the ProTeam Flanders-Baloise team.
