This new eBike for delivering pizzas comes with a built-in oven

Sustainable mobility also reaches pizza delivery with the introduction by Domino’s Pizza of their new delivery bikes for their stores in Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Taiwan. An electric bike that they have equipped with an oven that not only keeps the pizzas hot but also protected so they arrive in perfect condition.

Domino’s Pizza presents its futuristic delivery ebike

More than a bike, it looks like some kind of spaceship. This is the ebike with which the Domino’s Pizza chain intends to deliver its pizzas, for now only in some of its markets. A bike to which the usual box has been incorporated, like the ones usually carried by the delivery mopeds we usually see.

However, the box that these ebikes use is far from common as it is, as they have named it at Domino’s Pizza, a “Temperature Controlled Pizza Capsule”, a small oven to put it simply, which ensures that the pizza arrives hot at our table.

In addition to this, this oven has also been designed to protect the pizzas during the journey from intense accelerations to which it is subjected. The brand talks about up to 10.2 G, a figure that seems completely exaggerated since it is more than what a fighter pilot aboard a fighter jet or an astronaut in a launch can withstand.

In any case, the oven includes a suspension system capable of reducing the forces that reach the pizza by 67% and thus ensure that we receive it in one piece.

Otherwise, this ebike does not have any notable features. It opts for 20-inch wheels that facilitate agile behavior on a robust metallic frame very similar in design to what we usually see in the electric bikes of public shared bike services.

These ebikes join those that Domino’s Pizza was already using in several cities in the United States, from Miami, to Salt Lake City or Houston, and which use a less technological box but sufficiently insulated to maintain the temperature of the pizzas and with the capacity to transport up to 12 units on each trip.
