DT Swiss presents its lightest aero wheels to date, and they feature carbon spokes
38 mm profile, carbon rims, some of the best hubs on the market, and the novelty of carbon spokes. These are the ingredients of the renewed DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut 38, which weigh in at a fantastic 1,174 g.

The DT Swiss ARC 1100 Dicut 38 is renewed to be even more competitive
The ARC 1100 Dicut with a 38 mm profile is not new in the DT Swiss catalog. These wheels, within the ARC range, prioritize aerodynamics over other parameters.
Now, DT Swiss has renewed them to improve their characteristics, including weight, which has been reduced by 125 g, a significant figure when talking about a previous version that was already finely tuned. This weight reduction has been achieved mainly through the use of carbon spokes for the first time in their range.

This is a significant innovation within the DT Swiss range, a brand that made its name by producing stainless steel spokes for all types of wheels and supplies a large number of brands in the market. However, the Swiss still do not have the necessary technology to manufacture carbon spokes, so for the assembly of these ARC 1100 Dicut 38, they opted to use those produced by the Vonoa company, which equip other well-known wheel models like Roval or Hunt.
Not only are carbon spokes used, but their greater stiffness allows for a reduction in the number of spokes in the front wheel, using 18 instead of the 24 that the previous model had, a number that is maintained in the rear.

As we mentioned, the carbon rims have a 38 mm profile while the internal width is just 20 mm. The hubs are DT 180 but conveniently modified to accommodate the carbon spokes. Of course, they come with ceramic bearings and the Ratchet EXP freehub system.
The result is an incredible 1,174 g, a figure that even surpasses the DT Mon Chasseral, their lightest wheels so far, but a model designed for climbing with just a 24 mm profile on its rim.

As expected, wheels of this caliber come with a high price tag, €3,199, although DT Swiss includes a set of Continental Aero 111 tires of 700x26 for the front and GP5000s of 28 for the rear. A pair of Continental TPU tubes, transport bags, and tubeless valves are also included.
