DT Swiss launches its first wheel with dynamo
The gravel, the bikepacking, the ultra-distance adventures or simply going out for a ride at first or last light require mounting lights on our bike. And just for that type of cyclist, DT Swiss has just launched its first wheel with a dynamo, built on a hub developed in collaboration with Shutter Precision (SP).

DT Swiss launches its first wheels with Dynamo
The dynamo is a device located in the front hub that converts the energy from the wheel's own movement into electricity. Enough to power a set of lights or even charge an electronic device.
This new hub with dynamo 350 SP PL-7 offered by DT Swiss arises precisely from the growing demand that the brand is detecting, partly generated by gravel adventures that often extend into the hours of the day when there is no natural light.

As is well known, this type of dynamo hubs offer some resistance when rolling, but DT has ensured that its interference is directly imperceptible when it is off and minimal when it is generating energy.
With the lights on or any other device using the dynamo, this mechanism will only subtract 7 W of your power at 30 km/h. And if the dynamo is off, the resistance will be only 1 watt at the same speed.
The hub with dynamo 350 SP PL-7 can be purchased separately at a price of 174.9 euros. It is available as an option for 24 spokes.

Or it can be acquired with one of these complete wheels:
- GR 1600 with 25 mm profile and 24 mm internal width - 1,075 g - 320.90 euros
- G 1800 with 25 mm profile and 24 mm internal width - 1,098 g - 248.90 euros
You can get more information and specifications on the DT Swiss website.
