Mathieu van der Poel resumes training on the roller despite his wrist fracture
Van der Poel fell twice during the race and as a result suffered a fracture in the scaphoid bone of the wrist, an injury that also involves damage to the ligaments of the joint. Nevertheless, the Alpecin-Deceuninck rider has been able to resume training this Tuesday, although for now he does it indoors and with a splint on the wrist, as he himself has shared in a video posted on his Instagram account.
During Sunday night, some media outlets even mentioned a possible knee injury, something that his team ruled out with their first statement and that Van der Poel reaffirms with this appearance already pedaling.
