Van der Poel debuts a very special Canyon Aeroad
As Canyon warned a few weeks ago, when they presented their MyCanyon customization program, their star cyclists would be the first to use the Opus creations made by the artists involved in this project. We already have here the first of these works, which Mathieu van der Poel will wear throughout the Tirreno-Adriatico 2025 that is taking place this week.

When Canyon announced their MyCanyon customization program, the big novelty was the option of having authentic works of art coming from the brush of artists Felipe Pantone and Elena Salmistraro who have agreed to collaborate on this project with the brand.

We can already see the first of these works of art reflected on the tubes of the Canyon Aeroad CFR Opus that Mathieu van der Poel is using these days in the Tirreno-Adriatico race and which, we do not know if by chance or not being an Italian race, has been created by the also Italian Elena Salmistraro.
A design that "Inspired by the themes of color and energy, Salmistraro's impressive design incorporates bright and bold color traces in a kaleidoscopic color palette, creating a 'perfect combination of modernity and fun, ideal for attracting attention'" as stated in the brand's press release.
Contrary to what usually happens with this type of customizations, it is not a unique bike but, except for the time trial bike used in the first stage, the two bikes that Van der Poel, like every rider on any professional team, has for these races have the same design.
Here you can see all the news, models, and prices of the new Canyon Aeroad 2025.
